“The Miles” is a masterclass in mid-century preservation. Meticulously brought back to life in our Memphis workshop, this 1966 Zenith X930 stereo console stands as a true centerpiece. Every inch of the vintage cabinet has been carefully detailed to protect its organic character, while the underlying audio architecture has been entirely reimagined for the modern audiophile.

This unit proudly retains its rare “Survivor” Status, showcasing its original walnut finish. We intentionally chose to leave an honest vintage scratch intact on the cabinet framework; erasing this character mark would mean stripping away the pristine, factory-original lacquer and decades of authentic mid-century soul.

Modernized Hi-Fi Integration

We have bypassed the limitations of the past, replacing vintage bottlenecks with a high-resolution Wi-Fi Streaming system and HDMI ARC for seamless smart TV connectivity. This unit features an upgraded, premium Pro-Ject belt-drive turntable, integrated cleanly into the deck layout to ensure flawless tracking and gentle playback for your vinyl records.

In keeping with our Steiner Audio philosophy, this custom build contains no Bluetooth. Instead, we prioritize uncompressed network streaming to deliver bit-perfect audio that honors the natural warmth of the original chassis.

Art for Eyes and Ears

The defining acoustic characteristic of this classic Zenith model is its incredible original Alnico Speaker Array. These vintage drivers utilize the physical dimensions of the wooden cabinet shell to provide a rich, expansive bass response and clear stereo imaging that modern standalone equipment cannot replicate.

The clean, minimalist lines of the external cabinet make it the perfect design anchor for an upscale living space. It stands as the ultimate convergence of historic aesthetic design and modern high-fidelity performance, fully optimized for the modern home.
